Wearing Guide

A how-to guide on opening, wearing, and removing our threaded, recessed, and hoop styles.

Threaded Studs

To Open: With one hand holding the back of the post and one hand gently supporting the frontal, unscrew the two sections by turning the frontal counterclockwise. When loose, gently pull the frontal away from the backing.

To Wear: Insert the post into your piercing from behind the ear. Then gently insert the frontal guider pin into the post from the front of the ear, turning the frontal counterclockwise to tighten until it is flush against the skin.

To Remove: Turn the frontal clockwise, gently pull the frontal away from the backing, and remove the post from your piercing.

Recessed Backing Studs

To Open: With one hand holding the backing, and one hand gently supporting the frontal, unscrew the two sections by turning the backing counterclockwise. When loose gently pull the backing away from the post.

To Wear: Insert the post into your piercing from the front of the ear. Then, from behind the ear, place the backing inside the post. Turn the backing clockwise and as the recessed backing tightens, the wearable surface will shorten. Tighten until it is flush against the back of the ear.

To Remove: Turn the backing counterclockwise, gently pull the frontal away from the backing, and remove the post from your piercing.

Plain Hoops

To Open: Identify the two notches for the hinge, grab directly between them with one hand and directly opposite with the other. Gently pull the sections apart without twisting and the hoop will open.

To Wear: Insert the knife edge into the piercing, rotate the ring and feel the edge of the jewelry exit the piercing with the index finger of the other hand. Carefully align the two sections of the ring using both hands, and with gentle pressure push them together until it clicks. It may be helpful to rotate the ring forward to see the two ends before closing.

To Remove: Rotate the ring through the piercing until the opening notch is visible. With hands on either side of the notch, gently pull the two sections apart.

Bottom Hinge Hoops

To Open: Hold the hoop on either side of the closure. Gently pull the sections apart without twisting and the hoop will open.

To Wear: Insert the wearable surface through the front of your piercing and close the hinge by gently pushing the sections together until they click.

To Remove: With one hand holding the front of the hoop, from behind the ear use the index finger of the opposite hand to identify the space between the wearable surface and hoop and gently pull apart.

Eternity Hoop Earring and Cuff

To Open: Hold the hoop on either side of the closure. Gently pull the wearable surface out of the closure without twisting, and the hoop will open. Continue to open the remaining cuffs with the same movement until all rings are open.

To Wear: Insert the wearable curved post on the first ring into the front of hole one, two, or three in the Lobe, and close the ring by gently pushing sections together until it clicks closed. Then gently snap close the remaining cuffs until they fit snugly against the ear. Subtly adjust rings to point down for pierced realism.

To Remove: Open the cuffs by gently separating the two sections of the hinge. For the piercing, use one hand to hold the front of the hoop and use the index finger of the opposite hand to identify the space between the wearable surface and hoop and gently pull apart.
